In collaboration with Mahesh Raju Architects, the Gopalpur Resort was conceptualized as a beachfront escape, blending organic architecture with cyclone-resistant design. Inspired by the Olive Ridley turtles and the coastal landscape, the resort features triangular hipped-roof cabins and a multi-level hotel, ensuring structural strength while harmonizing with nature.
To maximize beach views beyond the sand dune barrier, we elevated key structures on stilts, creating an uninterrupted visual connection to the sea. A mezzanine-level retreat, a floating bridge over a waterbody, and lush coastal plantations enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Designed with celebrations in mind, the resort includes an open-air theatre for cultural events and dedicated beachfront wedding venues, catering to those seeking a picturesque destination for festivals, retreats, and beach weddings.
